Nomenclatural Synonyms:

Synonymy Notes: Nicolalde-Morejón et al. previously placed Zamia splendens in synonymy under Zamia katzeriana [Brittonia 60(1): 38-48. 2008]. Perez-Farrera et al. [Phytotaxa 270 (3): 161–181, 2016] considered Zamia splendens as an accepted species and Zamia katzeriana as a separate species with possible hybrid origin with Z. splendens and Z. loddigesii as putative ancestors.
